Pecs and Videoton played out a goaless draw on a cold evening in southern Hungary. Weekend 15 of the OTP league could have seen Videoton go second in the table, but MTK's 2-0 win away at Debrecen, meant that they went behind leaders Győri ETO, while Vidi remain in fourth, but level on points with third in the table Debrecen. Paulo Sousa fielded a strong starting eleven with one eye focused on Thursday's big Europa league match at home to Genk. A small but vocal group of visiting supporters also made the journey south to back their favourite side.

Sandor did have a long range shot go wide of the post after 12 minutes as both sides tried to gain the upperhand. Bozsovics did very well to save from the feet of Bajzat after 18 minutes. The Pecs striker found himself clear of the Videoton defence, but he shot straight at the outstretched Bozsovics. There were no real chances over the next 15 minutes, but referee Ando-Szabo did produce the yellow card a couple of times. Dibusz saved from Sandor in the 38th minute, but it was proving difficult to get in behind the defences at both ends. The teams went in at the break with the scores at 0-0.

Paulo Sousa brought on Kovacs in place of Sandor at the break, and it as the youngster who had a low shot at goal after 47 minutes from about 27 meters. Toth also had his shot blocked following a Gyurcso free kick. Referee Ando-Szabo then sent Paulo Sousa to the stands in the 49th minute, with the reason not too clear to the watching public. Sousa watched the remaining 40 minutes from behind the bench. Dibusz was on hand to save from Brachi as the pressure continued. There was a yellow card also for Horvath, whose challenge on Caneira was over the top.

Bajzat went very close to opening the score with a low shot, which just went wide of the post. Bajzat was proving difficult to cope with as he went on to have several attempts at goal without any success. Nikolics also saw his effort from 17 meters saved by the busy Dibusz. Toth played a lovely ball out to Gyurcso on 73 minutes, who passed it to the centre, before a defender cleared it just before the arriving Nikolics. Niko did have the chance of the match with his sweet shot hitting the post towards the end of the game. He was unlucky with that chance, which on another day would have found itself in the back of the net. The game looked more and more likely to end without any goals, with both keepers dealing well with whatever came their way.

Referee Ando-Szabo then blew for full time, bringing to an end a tough battling match, which produced a fair result. Videoton end the weekend in fourth place, with focus now switching to the big Europa league game on Thursday.
