Despite a promising performance in the first half of the season, the results have not come in the last weeks, so Nyíregyháza changed the coach at the beginning of the week, and Krisztián Tímár is no longer sitting on the home team's bench.
On Sunday at 19:00 we will play Nyíregyháza for the 25th time in the top division. In the 24 games so far, Vidi have had a massive advantage, beating Szpari 17 times with three Nyíregyháza wins and four draws. The goal difference is 45-19 in our favour. On Monday, the club announced on their official website that they have terminated the contract with Krisztián Tímár by mutual agreement, so on Sunday evening a new coach will be in charge of the team.

The first meeting between the two teams took place on 13 August 1980 in Székesfehérvár and we won 2-1 with goals from Győző Burcsa and Ferenc Csongrádi.
Prior to this season, we last met our Sunday opponents a decade ago, on 7 March 2015, when we saw goals from Vinícius, Álvarez and Nikolics to secure a confident 3-0 win. Vidi's goal-scorer does not only have fond memories of Nyíregyháza because of this, as he scored his 100th NB I goal at home to Szpari a few months earlier.
This season we have played Nyíregyháza twice. Last August, the home side drew 3-3 in their opening match.
In Székesfehérvár we won confidently 2-0.
