In nice sunny conditions and on a lovely playing surface, Videoton kicked off their latest league match against Felcsut side, Puskas Academy FC. Both sides run out in pink shirts, to show their own message against the battle with breast cancer.

The match started well with Vidi quickly taking control of things, even if the supporters had to wait a while for the first chance to come. The young academy side, with some more experienced players to balance things out, played with enthusiasm. They were happy to sit back and defend, with just an effort from the visiting Gallardo to talk about. Vidi managed to play through their opponents twice, as they came up against a well organized Felcsut defence. Nikolics did well to release Ze Luis on 12 minutes, which Hajduch nicely saved.

Vidi continued to put pressure on their opponents in the second half. There was an unfortunate injury to Kleinheisler, who collided with Nagy, which force manager José Gomes to make a change. Istvan Kovacs came on as he returned to action following a period out with a broken collarbone.

Nildo's cross after 57 minutes was headed at goal by Nikolics, which forced Hajduch to produce a very good stop. Nikolics then found himself with a one-on-one chance on goal after 63 minutes, but the ball went the wrong side of the post. The home fans were celebrating three minutes later. Nildo sent a lovely ball over to Nikolics, who crossed from the right to the waiting Ze Luis to score from close range. It was a confident finish from the forward.

Nikolics then crossed into the middle on 69 minutes, which was well controlled by Nildo, who kept his composure to shoot at goal, but once again the Puskas Academy keeper was well placed to deal with it. The lead was increased on 75 minutes. Nikolics was again the provider as he found Nildo, who slid in to make it 2-0 from close range. Tischler and Molnar both had chances at the other end, but could not find a way past Calatayud. There was still time for Alvarez to come on and send a lovely shot into the far corner of the net to complete the score and make it 3-0 to Videoton FC. Vidi continue to boast a 100% home record, with a goal difference of 20-2, sitting at the top of the table with 28 points.
