Adam Simon: It will be a big challenge to play for Videoton

- You came through the MTK youth academy, but made your first division debut playing for Szombathely Haladas. You were also a member of the U20 bronze winning Hungarian side at the 2009 World Cup. What does this all mean to you from a career point of view?

The Egyptian U20 World cup greatly influenced the path that my career followed. My career was going upwards at that time, which saw me move to Palermo, and then on to Bari, from where I returned back to Haladas on loan.

- Did you get what you were expecting playing abroad?

Yes, Italy did not produce any surprises, and things turned out as I had predicted. I do have to add that the facilities in Szekesfehervar are as professional as I had got used to in Italy. Going back to my years playing abroad, I have no regrets that I signed for Palermo, and it was a big challege for me, as it is now with Vidi.

- Did you meet several players that you are familiar with on your first day, when you stepped in to the dressing room at the Sostoi stadium?

I can say that I have played against virtually everyone, with the exception of perhaps one or two. The whole team, players and management are very professional, and they have accepted me and treat me in this manner. I will try my best to do all I can to make sure that I can blend in as soon as possible.

- You haver played your first friendly match as a Videoton player, how did you feel out there on the pitch against Ujpest FC?

It was terribly hot out there (laughing), which is why things were a bit more difficult for everyone. However, I still enjoyed every moment of the match, while I was out there on the pitch.
