NEW SIGNING

A prolific striker is set to join the red-and-blues

Zoárd Nagy, who is a forward, has joined Fehérvár on loan from Puskás Akadémia FC.

Vidi has strengthened its strike force in the final stages of the transfer window: Zoárd Nagy will be playing for our club in the 2026/2027 season.

Born on 18th April 2000 in Budapest, the forward came through the youth ranks at Vác and then Vasas, and also spent time on loan at Taksony and Balatonfüred. After spells with Slovakian side STK Samorin and Mosonmagyaróvár, he signed for Csákvár in the summer of 2023, where he scored 10 goals in 32 league matches in his first season and 18 goals in 29 league matches in his second, the latter earning him the NB II top scorer title.

Subsequently, in 2025, he was signed by Puskás Akadémia FC, from whom he was loaned out in the spring of 2026 to play for Csíkszereda in the Romanian first division.

The 196-cm-tall striker has played 5 league matches in NB I, 12 in the Romanian top flight and 96 in NB II, and has scored 1 goal in the Romanian Superliga and 34 in the Hungarian second division.

“My aim is to play for a good team where I could show what I’m capable of. I spoke with sporting director Nemanja Nikolics on several occasions; I was impressed by what he outlined. I’d like to get back to the level I was at when I was the top scorer in NB II, and take it a step further. I want to help the team with goals and assists. Thanks to my physique, I’m strong at holding onto the ball and at positional play inside the box. I’ve also scored plenty of headers during my career, and I’m confident that I can help the team with my heading ability when it comes to crosses and set-pieces. Even when I became top scorer at Csákvár, I didn’t set myself a specific target for the number of goals to score; instead, I took it one match at a time. So even now, I haven’t been thinking about how many goals I might score for Vidi; instead, I’m aiming for as many as possible and want to give 100 per cent on the pitch,” Zoárd Nagy told our website.

“Zoárd had already proven himself as top scorer in NB II, and went on to play in NB I as well. We were definitely keen to sign another striker, and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to strengthen our squad with such a powerful forward, who makes good use of his physical strength, poses a constant threat inside the box and knows the pitch well. I’m confident our supporters will see him score plenty of goals in the Vidi shirt,” said sporting director Nemanja Nikolics.

We wish you every success in red and blue, Zoárd!
