Zsolt Tar: The win against MTK should give the team a push

We spoke to the young central defender who played in Saturday's win at MTK.

- You made your third appearance in a first division match. How did you feel out there on the pitch and what was it like to play in the match?

Sadly we lost the first league game that I played in, which was away at Kaposvar. We then won the second and third game that I played in, which I am very pleased about. I felt that we did not play too well in the first half at MTK, but we managed to sort things out at half time, and were much more confident in the second period, which brought the deserved result. This win was a very important one, as we have been through an up and down period of late, but this win should give us all a lift.

- Videoton play Debrecen at the weekend in the big spring match. What type of match do you think it will be?

I am sure that it will be a very hard match, but the win at MTK came at the best possible time. The atmosphere in the dressing room is good, and I do not think that anyone is worried or nervous about Sunday's match. We want to show everyone that we are the best. We will beat Debrecen. I also hope that we can end up winning the league title at the end of the season.

- You are still a member of the Vidi II squad, and also the captain of that side. You have so far not played in any of the matches in the third division. I am sure that you have been following the performances of the team. What do you think about them winning four out of four matches?

Yes, but I am still part of the second team squad on paper. I have been preparing with the first team since February. This came as a surprise for me, as I was still training with the Vidi II team in January. I then found out a day before we flew out to Spain for the second training camp that I would be part of the squad. I am really pleased that I have managed to stay in the first team picture, and I will do everything I can while I am called upon. I have been following the good start to the second teams league season. I have been surprised by the excellent start that the lads have made to the season. There were signs during the autumn that this would happen. We managed to strengthen the squad over the winter, and it appears as if we reaping the rewards of this.
