We started the match with a chance right away, Patrik Kovács found himself in a one-on-one situation, but his shot from a sharp angle was nicely saved by the visitors' goalkeeper. The resulting corner was met by the head of Kálnoki-Kis, but it went just centimeters wide of the left post. In the 12th minute, we took the lead: Kálnoki-Kis got the ball, turned towards the goal with a nice move and shot into the bottom right corner from 14 meters (1-0). Patrik Kovács' shot from a sharp angle was our next chance, which was saved by the goalkeeper, then in the 25th minute, Kálnoki-Kis arrived in front of the goal at the right moment after a cross from the right, first trying a header, then shooting from close range to make it 2-0.
After the break, in the 30th minute, our home-grown defender Tamás Horváth showed his class: a low cross came in from the right, found Horváth on the far side, and he didn't hesitate, slotting the ball under the bar from six yards out (3-0). Kocsis' free kick was the last chance of the half, but the goalkeeper managed to save it, and we went into the break with a 3-0 lead.
After the break, only our captain, Csaba Spandler, remained on the pitch. We started the second half with the following line-up: Kemenes - Kovács K., Papp, Spandler, Kojnok - Menyhárt, Kovács B., Kecskés, Simut - Bertók, Babos. In the 55th minute, Simut's free kick from the wing curved dangerously in front of the goal, and although Papp Milán tried to connect in front of Bedővári, the ball flew dangerously towards the Monor goal, and it took a good save from the visitors' goalkeeper to prevent an own goal. Two minutes later, Agóts broke away on his own and drove the ball towards our goalkeeper, but Kemenes came out at the right moment and made a great save with his foot. In the 59th minute, our home-grown striker Dániel Bertók, who signed his first professional contract this week, hit the right post.
In the 75th minute, four more Vidi substitutions followed, and one minute later, Milán Tóth (whose signing is currently in progress) fired off a dangerous shot. In the 81st minute, Roland Varga earned a penalty, but Bence Kovács' shot bounced off the right post. There were no further goals, and our team ended their series of friendly matches with a confident victory, having played with superiority throughout, winning five games, drawing one, and conceding only one goal in six matches. After the final whistle, our fans applauded the performance of our players and encouraged them ahead of the upcoming league season.
