Gergő Kocsis returns to Vidi!

We have strengthened our team with an experienced midfielder who has played 121 games in NB I and won the league title with Vidi in 2015.

Gergő Kocsis was born on March 7, 1994, in Budapest. He spent his youth playing for Tatabánya and MTK in Hungary, as well as Stuttgart and Augsburg in Germany.

The midfielder played in the Bavarian regional league between 2012 and 2014, before joining Videoton in the 2014/2015 season, which saw our club win its second league title. He was a regular member of our NB III team and made one appearance in NB I. He then signed for Puskás Akadémia, followed by Dunaszerdahely, from where he was loaned to Diósgyőr. He moved to Karvina in Slovakia, before signing for ZTE in early 2019, where he won the NB II championship and played 26 league games for the NB I newcomers in the 2019/2020 season. He was signed by Slovakian club Podbeskidzie, before returning to Hungary to play for Mezőkövesd. Between 2022 and 2024, he played for MTK Budapest, and in the 2024/2025 season, he played for DVSC.

He played in 121 matches in the Hungarian NB I, scoring two goals and providing six assists. In NB II, he played in 38 matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist. He is a one-time NB I and NB II champion and has played eight times for the Hungarian U21 national team.
