Promising young duo looking to grab opportunity with both hands

Zsolt Tar and Martin Hudak are taking part in their second training camp with Videoton. We spoke to the promising duo about how they are finding things during pre-season.

It is Zsolt Tar's first training camp, while the second for Martin Hudak with Videoton. When did you find out that you would be participating, and how have the last few days been for you?

H.M.: The training sessions are enjoyable, and everything is fine and I am pleased to be here. It was quite sudden that I would be traveling with the team, as I only found out a day before the squad departed. I was extremely happy to be given the chance.

T.Zs.: I also found out a day before the departure, but I was also pleased to come and I feel really good among the other players. This is my first training camp with Videoton, so I am trying to perform to my best ability so that I can take part in many more.

Both of you were given 30 minutes in Sunday's friendly match with Dinamo Moscow. What was the game like out there on the pitch?

H.M.: We played well on Sunday against a very strong side. The other players spoke to me throughout the game, offering help, which made things much easier for me. The game was much faster than the pace at third division. We have to pick up the tempo, not only with the opponents but with the others as well.

T.Zs.: The pitch was very heavy so it was hard to play football continuously. I made a good tackle inside the box, which stopped Kokorin from having a chance at goal. It was good to get in there with a challenge on time, while I also had a chance at the other end of the pitch. I arrived at the far post for a corner, but I did not connect as well as I could have with my head. I think that things went well for both the team and myself so there can be little to complain about regarding the performance on Sunday.

What are you looking to get out of the training camp looking ahead to the future?

H.M.: I hope to be given the chance in the other friendly matches and we will try our best to show the coaching staff what we can do, and that they can count on us in the long term.

T.Zs.: These two weeks are an opportunity so I will try to grasp it with both hands.

We will be playing Asian Champions league winners on Wednesday. How have you been preparing for the match?

H.M.: We are not really focusing on the opponents, and we would like to play what we have been practicing in training. We will relax on Tuesday afternoon so that we can be fresh for Wednesday's game.

T.Zs.: I will try and sleep during Tuesday afternoon, and then head for the pool after that. Then there will be a new match on Wednesday, with an equally good performance as we produced on Sunday.
