PRESS CONFERENCE

"We have to stay on this path in the continuation."

After the match ended 1-1, the two head coaches, Krisztián Tímár and Dávid Horváth, shared their thoughts on the match.

Krisztián Tímár:

"I feel we did a lot to win today. We knew that we had an important match to win at home, I am sorry that we could not keep the lead in the last minute. It was obvious that we were going for the win, we went forward for the three points. In the first half we played a stumbling game, one or two of my players didn't have enough confidence to implement the forward defence we have used well in training in the game. We talked things over at the break and started the second half very well, pinning our opponents down. We hit the post and had a goal ruled out for offside and there were several situations where we could have created chances with more accurate play. I'm sorry that in the last 15 minutes several of our players were exhausted, and that was the reason for the defensive mistake that led to the goal. Overall, several things have come back from what I would like to see. We were in the opponent's box a lot more than before and led good attacks. The players have understood that we need to get points and to do that we need to take more risks. We have to stay on this path in the continuation."

Dávid Horváth:

"Both teams had the necessary motivation, for us to get to 4th place, which is a possible qualification for Europe, and the home team still has to do something to stay in the league. The game was nervy in the first half, we were too imprecise to take the initiative and dominate. In the middle of the second half we tried to change and freshen up, and I sent on more mobile players. It looked like a classic one-goal game. After Vidi took the lead, we had to come from behind. Fortunately I was wrong, it was not a single goal that decided the game and we managed to equalize. At the end of the second half, our left side was very dangerous and that's where our goal came from, which means a valuable point for us."
