Our head coach, Krisztián Tímár, selected the following eleven players for the starting lineup: Nagy G., Petrov, Spandler, Kalandadze, Simut, Melnyik, Bedi, Milicevic, Szabó B., Stefanelli, and Saponjics.
After kick-off, the home team took control of the game. Five minutes into the match, Gergely Nagy punched a corner kick away, and Georgi Harutjunjan headed the ball wide from a clear position. We had trouble dealing with Lamin Colley, and in the 11th minute, Csaba Spandler received a yellow card for a foul on him.
Vidi spent most of the first part of the game defending, unable to threaten the Felcsút goal. In the 22nd minute, Spandler got on the end of a corner from Ivan Milicevic, but his header was off target. A minute later, Ivan Saponjics headed a free kick wide after beating Pécsi Ármint and the defender, but his header narrowly missed the empty goal.
In the 27th minute, we really regretted the missed opportunity: following Jonathan Levi's free kick, Colley slipped the ball into the net between Nagy and Spandler, who had come off his line (1-0).
In the 33rd minute, Saponjics fought for the ball on the right side, won it, and played in Nicolas Stefanelli. The game picked up pace, with Artem Favorov's shot being saved by Nagy and Bedi Bence's attempt on the other side being saved by Pécsi. Our team stepped up in the final minutes, with a series of crosses and corners, but despite remaining in front of the PAFC goal, we were unable to equalize. In the 45+1st minute, the cold shower came: Colley sprinted down the left side and sent in a precise cross, which Levi converted to double the home side's lead (2-0).
Neither coach made any substitutions during the break. The second half began with the ball mainly in the middle of the pitch, but our team came forward; Saponjics fought his way into a shooting position, but Wojciech Golla blocked his attempt. Once again, our number 9 was the protagonist, winning a free kick just outside the box. Simut Mario stood behind the ball but the effort did not result in a goal.
In the 62nd minute, Levi shot over the bar, then the battling Saponjics scrambled the ball towards the goal, but Pécsi saved. In the 77th minute, the match was finally decided: Laros Duarte pushed the ball forward and scored an impressive long range goal (3-0).
In the final minutes, substitute Milán Pető's shot missed the goal, then in the 88th minute, we intercepted a poor pass, allowing two Fehérvár players to break towards the home goal. Finally, another substitute, Lirim Kastrati, finished the move, with Pécsi only able to get a touch on his shot (3-1).
The score remained unchanged, with Puskás Akadémia winning the county derby.
