Vidi suffered a 3-0 home loss against DVSC on Saturday evening, which means relegation from NB1.
There was huge interest in this week's decisive match against DVSC, with queues snaking around the ticket offices even today, and nearly 10,000 people cheering on the team at the Sóstói Stadium.
Nikola Serafimov, who underwent surgery, Zsolt Kalmár and András Huszti were forced to miss Saturday's match, and Patrik Kovács was also unavailable due to a knee injury. Head coach Krisztián Tímár sent out the following starting eleven: Dala – Petrov, Spandler, Kalandadze – Kovács M., Bedi, Melnyik, Milicevic – Szabó B., Saponjics, Holender.

The match began with a ceremony, with RBD paying tribute to the team that played in the 1984/1985 UEFA Cup final with a choreographed display covering the entire section, while József Szabó and Ferenc Csongrádi took the kick-off.
We didn't have to wait two minutes for the first Vidi chance; Filip Holender sent the ball into the middle and Ivan Saponjics burst in, only to miss the goal by a whisker. At the other end, Cristopher Youga shot wide from distance, then Bálint Szabó broke into the box and Holender fired his shot from the edge of the box just wide. There was no let-up; Gergő Kocsis nodded over the bar from a clear position after a corner.
The game continued to pulsate. In the 19th minute, Ivan Milicevic shook off his marker on the left, but his cross was a little too high for Holender, and another cross came in from the right, which also flew over the head of our number 70. A minute later, DVSC took the lead: our defenders failed to close down Szuhodovszki Somára, who fired the ball into the net from 24 metres out (0-1).
The goal shook our team, and our attacks lacked punch. In the 35th minute, Simeon Petrov was pushed off the ball, but referee Gergő Bogár did not see any foul play, and Mátyás Kovács shot into the side netting from a sharp angle. The final push was started by Donát Bárány with a dangerous long-range shot, but fortunately his ball went wide. In the 42nd minute, Holender could have equalised, but he also failed to find the target.
After the break, the expected Vidi attacks failed to materialise, and Debrecen confidently maintained their one-goal lead. In fact, Dala Martin had to save a header from Kocsis and then a shot from Youga. The match was decided in the 66th minute when Maximilian Hofmann, with our defenders closing in on him, slid the ball into the net with his back to the goal (0-2).
After the second goal, tempers flared, and in the 70th minute, Kastrati and Youga, who had come on as substitutes, got into a scuffle and were both shown red cards. In the 76th minute, Nicolas Stefanelli, who had come on earlier, hit the post - we were unlucky.
Krisztián Tímár sent Tamás Videt and Simut Mariót onto the pitch. Petrov's header and Tóth's close-range shot were both saved. In the 85th minute, the Hajdúság team sealed the deal when Maurides scored into an empty net (0-3).
The last minutes ticked away. Unfortunately, our team said goodbye to the first division with this defeat.
We would like to thank our fans for their support today and throughout the season!
