Match Report: Vidi pick up a point against Győr

Nikolics and Juhasz gave Vidi a two goal lead after 40 minutes. However, a Koltai penalty pulled one back for Győr, before Priskin levelled towards the end.

The first league match of the spring season took place at the home of Győri ETO in front of 3500. The weather was overcast at the ETO park with it being around 10c.

The first chance came in the 4th minute: Nikolics pulled away down the right following a Simon header, but Kamenar saved a shot from the forward. A long ball forward from Calatayud saw Niko in between two defenders, but he shot over the bar from 19 meters out. Another two minutes past before the next chance fell to Nikolics. Kovacs released him with a ball, which was followed up by a low shot from 18 meters. That brought a good save from ETO keeper Kamenar.

The 14th minute saw Kovacs play Oliveira in with a nice ball, with the Portuguese player cutting the ball back for the arriving Nikolics to hit his effort wide of the far post. The first chance for the home side fell after 29 minutes, when Koltai went down the left, before Juhasz forced him wide, and the resulting shot from 15 meters went wide.

Vidi went ahead after 31 minutes: Fejes played a lovely ball in from the left, which was met by the incoming Nikolics who powered his headed past the keeper. This was the 17th goal of the season for the forward (0-1). The lead was doubled after 39 minutes: Gyurcso curled a ball in to the box from a free kick on the left, which was headed home by Juhasz, whose header was unstoppable. (0-2).

A shot on 42 minutes by Priskin was saved by Calatayud, while Lang headed over from close. ETO scored a consolation goal just before half time when Juhasz collided with Windecker. Referee Farkas pointed to the spot and Koltai converted it by sending the all to the bottom right. Calatayud almost got a hand to it. (1-2).

There was a collision between Nikolics and a defender at the start of the second half by the edge of the box. Niko ended on the floor, but Farkas waved play on. The 57th minute ended with Kovacs playing in Gyurcso, who outpaced the defender before crossing from a tight angle to the middle, but Kamenar claimed the ball ahead of Nikolics.

Windecker then blasted the ball over the bar from 19 meters after the ball was laid in to his path. Patkai also saw a chance go over from 16 meters. A free kick on 80 minutes saw Koltai curl the ball over from 26 meters. Good skill from Oliveira saw him beat his man, and the cross in to the centre was just too high for Nikolics in front of goal.

There was plenty of action towards the end with Njongo shooting from a tight angle on 83 minutes, which produced a good stop from Calatayud. An Ibanez corner ended with Liptak heading just over. Ibanez then sent a long ball forward in the final minute of normal time, which Lang connected with to shoot just wide of the right hand post. The scores were level in the 91st minute when Priskin made no mistake from 8 meters to find the bottom left hand corner. (2-2).

There was still time for Trebotic to try his luck with a header after a long throw in from Szolnoki. Vidi picked up a point at the ETO park, which saw many Vidi fans make the journey from Szekesfehervar.

Vidi are next in action on Wednesday with the visit of Pecs to the Sostoi in the Hungarian cup. That game kicks off at 18:00pm.
