Lazar misses out against San Marino with an illness

Hungary are away in San Marino on Tuesday evening in this vital European championship group E match

Hungarian line-up:
Király Gábor – Vanczák Vilmos, Juhász
Roland, Lipták Zoltán, Laczkó Zsolt –
Koman Vladimir, Elek Ákos, Hajnal Tamás,
Dzsudzsák Balázs – Szabics Imre,
Németh Krisztián.

Hungary have the chance to erase the two defeats against Holland. Sandor Egervari's international side will be looking to recapture the form, which saw Hungary thrash San Marino in the home fixture earlier this year. Hungary currently lie in third place in the group, behind Holland and Sweden, but three points in San Marino will make Hungary joint second. Videoton duo Zoltan Liptak and Akos Elek make the starting line up, while right back Pal Lazar misses out due to a virus. This match is a must win and nothing less than three points will do. There are vital matches coming up at home against Finland and Sweden, with an equally important away match in Moldova also ahead. Hungary beat San Marino 8-0 with goals coming from Szalai (3), Rudolf (2), Gera, Dzsudzsak and Koman all chipping in with goals.

Sandor Egervari usually names his side on the day of the match, but his line up "slipped out" revealling that the international manager will play with two strikers in a 4-4-2 formation. Liptak will occupy one of the central defensive positions, while Elek plays as a defensive defender. Pal Lazar has been forced to miss the evening game, having picked up a virus. Egervari had planned to play him at right back, but he has temprature and will not feature. Hungary have played six matches to date in the group, winning three and losing three. Hopefully that can become four wins on Tuesday evening.
