Both managers spoke to the media shortly after the final whistle.
Joan Carrillo: "What I had said earlier about us playing against a very good side was confirmed. Things were not easy for us today, just as they were not when we played them in a friendly match during the summer. Today's weather did not suit our short passing game, but the team adjusted to the conditions and we won the game 2-0. The side were really motivated and especially the international players. Ujpest had conceded just two goals in the six league games to date, and we managed to score the same amount against them during the 90 minutes, which says everything. Today's win was all about real teamwork, which I am naturally very pleased about."
Nebojsa Vignjevic: "The pitch was very deep, which created unrealistic conditions during the first half. The game was characterized by long balls, but the match was even until Juhasz scored, with both sides having chances. There are several technical players who are good at dribbling at Ujpest, so this pitch was difficult for them. Vidi adjusted to the difficulties that the weather caused and they deserved to win, so I would like to congratulate them. I was satisfied with the work that we produced in the first half, and we were motivated and tried a lot. Then at around the 80th minute mark, I felt that the players gave up and there was a lack of concentration."
