Csongvai and Kodro scored in the 2-2 friendly match against the Turkish top team.
On Saturday afternoon, our team played their final international friendly match of the summer in Kranj, Slovenia - the headquarters of the Slovenian Football Association - against seven-time Turkish champions Trabzonsopor. Manager Bartosz sent out the eleven of Kovács D. - Csongvai, Larsen, Spandler, Zeke - Rúben Pinto, Christensen - Kastrati, Houri, Schön - Kodro, with Csongvai wearing the captain's armband.
The first chance came in the 2nd minute, when Kodro shot after a feint from Houri's left corner, but was blocked by the defenders. The ball came back to Houri, who again curled the ball in front of goal from the left, but it was not reached by the oncoming attackers. In the 8th minute, Orsic's free kick was blocked by Dániel Kovács. Two minutes later, Trabzonspor took the lead: after a left-wing corner, Benkovic headed the ball to Gomez, who shot into the left side of the goal from close range (1-0).
In the 18th minute, Christensen's free-kick from the right was just missed by Spandler, while on the other end Visca crossed from the right and Gomez's header went over the top. In the 37th minute we equalised, Csongvai was very agile in front of the opponents' box as he confused the Turkish player in possession, the ball went to Kodro, who passed it straight back to Csongvai, and our defender shot from 20 metres into the right corner of the Turkish goal (1-1). The last moment of the half was a 17-metre shot from Bakasetas, which just missed the goal.
Vidi's head coach made one change at the break, with Christensen being replaced by Bambock. In the 58th minute, Csongvai won the ball inside our box, and then he released Kastrati on the right wing, who sprinted about 70 meters with the ball before passing it to Houri, who played it to Kodro on the left, who shot into the Turkish goal from 10 meters after a neat trick (1-2). A perfect counterattack, a great goal.
In the 75th minute, Bambock fouled somewhat unjustifiably 18 metres from our goal. The free kick was taken by Enis Bardhi, the former Újpest and Spanish Levante player curled it into the left side of our goal (2-2). In the last quarter of an hour Trabzonspor were slightly more active, but no more goals were scored, our team played out a 2-2 draw against the seven-time Turkish champions.
Vidi will be back in Sósto next week and will have two games behind close doors. On Friday, NB II Gyirmót will visit the Sóstó stadium, on Saturday PMFC, also from NB II
