We play an international friendly match with the Croatian league third place side on Saturday afternoon

We also played a training match against the Croatian team in January this year, when we lost 1-0. Saturday will be our tenth pre-season match between the two sides.

On Saturday at 16:30pm at the Muraszentmárton stadium we will play an international friendly match against NK Osijek. The team from Osijek finished third in the Croatian league last season, which meant qualifying for the second qualifying round of the ECL, where they will face MOL Hungarian Cup winners ZTE FC.

Saturday will be the tenth international preparation match between the two teams. Five of the nine meetings so far have been won by the Croatian team, with two draws and two wins for Vidi - in 2009 and 2016 we beat them 2-0.

The most recent we played a training match against Saturday's opponents NK Osijek was in Umag in January this year, which we lost 1-0.

NK Osijek have already played three training matches in recent weeks, although the first was more of a celebration match, as Croatian fifth division side NK "Graničar" Laze celebrated their 95th birthday by playing the Croatian bronze medallists, and almost all the residents of the municipality attended, meaning that nearly 400 people saw NK Osijek win the two x 35-minute period 9-0.

Saturday's match against Czech Bohemians was a much closer affair, with NK Osijek winning 3-2, while Wednesday afternoon saw the Croatian side draw 1-1 with Romanian side Petrolul.

NK Osijek's squad is worth an estimated €22 million, with their most valuable player being 24-year-old captain Mihael Zaper (€3 million).

The meeting on Saturday afternoon is scheduled to be streamed live by our opponents on their YouTube channel.
