Paulo Sousa felt his side deserved to win on the basis of their second half chances
Even though we made a couple of bad decisions in the first half, we still managed to create several serious chances. Unfortunately the visitors scored from their only real chance. We were much more quick in the second half, and we created many chances. I would also like to add that I have though a lot in the last few days, to try and help the team by keeping calm on the bench. However, referee's like today makes this impossible. The match official failed to blow his whistle in very serious situations when my players were fouled around their box. The rules are simple and referee's need to carry them out as that is their task. I do not want there to be any misunderstanding, my players also have to keep them, just as any other team's players.
My players played with great heart today, which ended with us picking up a result. I would like to still congratulate Vidi, who played at a good tempo and rhythm. They showed the quality of players they have, and the second half needed luck and the thanks to our keeper Szucs. He kept us in the game and we managed to see the game out to the end. I felt that we deserved the point from Szekesfehervar.
