Újpest FC won Sunday’s league match 3–1, with Petra Bognár scoring our team’s goal.
Our women’s senior team hosted Újpest FC at Sóstó on Sunday in the sixth round of the Simple Women’s League NB I. Head coach Péter Andorka fielded the following starting eleven: Major – Kövesdi, Zuggó, Bolboaca, Kántor – Kovács La., Pintér – Feil, Bognár, Szalay – Nagy.

The visitors took the lead in the 20th minute through a penalty scored by Malesevic (0–1), and doubled their advantage just before half-time with a goal from Csuhay, who capitalised on a poorly cleared ball (0–2).
In the 63rd minute, we made three substitutions, bringing on Liza Kovács, Németh and Forró. In the 73rd minute, following a cross from the right, Nagy scored Újpest’s third goal (0–3), after which Janus and Bacsur also came on for our team.
We dominated the closing stages; in the 78th minute, at the end of an attack down the right, Petra Bognár was played through and, deliberately lifting the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper, scored our consolation goal (1–3). That remained the final score, with the visitors taking all three points with their 3–1 victory. The action continues on Saturday, away at FTC.

Manager’s assessment
“We were able to impose our will during the first twenty minutes and the final 10–15 minutes of the match. Unfortunately, we conceded avoidable goals once again; we need to be more focused in those situations. We must reduce our unnecessary turnovers if we are to make progress. “If we play with more courage, we’ll be more effective” – head coach Péter Andorka told our website.
