Vidi's summer signings help the club through to the next round

Vidi showed their lower league cup opponents the highest respect as they progressed to the next round with a good win.

Videoton were in Hungarian cup second round action on Wednesday afternoon, with a visit to county league division one side Kunszállás SE. There were debuts for Tibor Heffler and Marko Pajac, but also a starting place for Laszlo Kleinheisler, who played in the U21 international match in Sarajevo two days earlier.

There were around 500 present to watch Kunszallas take on Vidi, and although the rain fell all day, the quality of the pitch did not cause any problems. The visitors also needed to adapt to the tight pitch, which was smaller in size. They also had to cope with the home side who defended in heavy numbers from the first minute. There were close to 15 minutes on the clock before the first shot on the home goal. Heffler's powerful volley from 18 meters out produced a good save from the home keeper. Kleinheisler went on a run a couple of minutes later before hitting the post with the outside of his foot from 13 meters.

The opening goal arrived after 19 minutes. Zsolt Nagy scored a beauty from 23 meters, finding the top corner, with the ball clipping the bar and ending up behind the goal line. (0-1). Trebotic fed Feczesin with the ball shortly after, and the forward kept his cool to make it 0-2. The home keeper did well once again to deal with a Pajac shot from a tight angle, and then Heffler took a free kick from 21 meters on 25 minutes. The ball hit the wall and deflected dangerously below the bar, with the keeper only able to parry the ball, before the ball fell to the arriving Trebotic, who made no mistake to make it 0-3. A couple of minutes later saw Vidi increase their lead to 0-4. Nagy passed to Pajac, who found the back of the net.

Vidi's latest signing from Croatia also scored a goal after 40 minutes. However, the match officials flagged offside so the four goal advantage remained as the sides went in to the dressing room at half time.

Vidi made a change at the break with U21 player Valkovszki replacing Kleinheisler. He took his place on the left with Pajac moving in to the middle just behind Feczesin. The two players then linked up in the 59th minute with Feczesin crossing from the left for Pajac to head home to make it 0-5. Veninger came on as a substitute and curled a corner in to the box on 78 minutes, for defender Chakla to make it 0-6! Feczesin then found the bottom corner following a nice move two minutes later. (0-7) The final goal came in the 87th minute: Veninger beat three players before being brought down inside the box. Feczesin calmly scored his third and Vidi's eighth. (0-8).

Vidi go through to the next round of the Hungarian cup by scoring 8 goals! The goals came from the summer signings. Videoton are next in action with a home league game against Ujpest on Sunday.
