Videoton make the trip to Budapest to face MTK on Saturday.
MTK picked up a win on the opening day of the season against Mezokovesd, before going on a run that saw them spiral towards the bottom of the league. They lost 5 of the next 6 matches, before defeating both Paks and Papa, and picking up a few draws along the way. They went into the winter break sitting in 15th place in the OTP league, which represented a relegation position. MTK moved in to the transfer market to strengthen their squad, bringing in Adam Vass in midfield and Sandor Torghelle in attack.
The spring season started better with a 0-0 draw away at Szombathely. The blue and whites also beat FTC on their home pitch, before losing by a single goal last weekend at Pecs. It is also worth mentioning that they played the majority of the match with 10 men.
Manager Jozsef Garami's most valuable player is Joszef Kanta, who has scored 6 goals, closely followed by Zsolt Poloskei on 5. The former is also sure to miss Saturday's game having picked up his 5th booking at Pecs.
MTK were beaten 2-0 in the autumn at the Sostoi stadium with Vidi's goals coming from a Kalnoki (OG) and a Nikolics strike. Videoton picked up maximum points at the Hidegkuti stadium in 2010.
