Videoton bring in two players from the Swedish first division

Martin Kayongo-Mutumba and Bojan Djordic have joined Videoton from Swedish side AIK Solna

Martin Mutumba has Ugandan roots, but was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1985. His first club was Vasalunds IF, and he played together with several other young African players in a side managed by Hungarian Bone Gusztav. Mutumba moved to AIK Solna in 1998, but only remained with the yellow and blacks until the age of 18. He still managed to make his debut in a game against Kalmar at the age of 17 in the Swedish top flight. There then followed a small hiccup in his career, and moved to Vasby is 2004, but could not make his debut as he broke his leg in a game with his friends. He then joined Finnish side Inter Turku and stayed from 2005-2007. He went back to Vasby in 2008, before moving to his last club, AIK Solna. He then enjoyed the best football of his career and set up the winning goal in the 2009 final as well as helping his side to the title. He also went on to win the Super Cup with his Swedish team this year. It is worth noting two sides that he almost joined: Scottish club Hibernian were interested in him in 2008, while Spaniards Deportivo la Coruna were also trying to tempt the 177cm high player to their club.

Bojan Djordic, is a 183cm left-sided attacking midfielder, who was born in Belgrade back on February 6th 1982. Bojan too grew up in Sweden. He came through the ranks at IF Brommapojkar, but went on to sign a six-year contract with Manchester United in 1999. He went on to play in a single game for Sir Alex Ferguson's side, before going out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, Aarhus GF and Crvena Zvezda. Glasgow Rangers then bought him in 2004. He also had a spell at Plymouth Argyle following his move to Scotland. He moved back to Sweden and AIK Solna in 2008. He has won several medals along the way including the Serbian league and cup double in 2004. He was also a Scottish league and league cup winner in 2005. A similar feat happened with AIK Solna in 2009, and he also helped them win the Super Cup this year.
