Videoton will be looking to break their away day luck at the Illovszky stadium
Saturday's match with Vasas will be the 84th between the two overall. Videoton make the journey to Budapest for this important OTP League fixture, with the main emphasis being to break the away day blues. Vidi have played Ujpest and Győr more times than the old Budapest club. The first match between the two in the first division took place back on the 3rd March 1968. The game, which was played in Budapest saw Vasas emerge 6-1 winners, with Videoton's goal that day coming from Laszlo Csukovics. In the 83 games to date, 29 have been won by Vidi, while 25 have resulted in wins for Vasas, with the remaining 29 drawn. Vidi also enjoy the overal goalcount which stands at 119-110.
The stats at Fay street, the home of Vasas, has seen the pair clash 42 times. Vasas have won 21 of those, while 13 have been drawn and 7 won by the Fehervar side. It is interesting to note that five of those 7 wins in Budapest, came during the last ten years. Videoton were only able to win twice away from 1968-2000. Vasas have only managed to beat Vidi once over the last 11 matches, and that came on the 1st November 2008 in a 4-1 win.
New signing Balazs Toth may make his debut against Vasas. Toth who signed a three year contract on Tuesday, is available for selection after all the paperwork was cleared. Saturday's opponents have played three games at home this season. They suffered a 2-1 defeat to Pecs, before drawing 0-0 with Haladas, finally beating Ferencvaros 2-0 last week.
