Match Report: Friendly win over Krasnodar

A 22nd minute Stopira goal secured a win over the current 4th in the table Russian side.

FK Krasnodar, who are currently sitting in fourth place in the Russian first division were the opponents on Thursday afternoon. It was the sixth friendly match of the winter pre-season for Marko Nikolic, who fielded the following side: Kovácsik – Nego, Juhász, Fiola, Stopira – Anel Hadzic – Pátkai, Nikolov – Lazovics – Marko Scepovic, Stefan Scepovic. 

The first big chance fell to Marko Scepovic on 10 minutes. Anel Hadzic gained possession and laid the ball onto Lazovic, who played in Stefan Scepovic. He centred for his brother Marko to sent a left footed shot, from a tight angle across the face of the goal. Joaozinho centred 5 minutes later from the goal line, with Martynovic sending his effort into the hands of Vidi keeper Kovacsik. The breakthrough and winning goal arrived after 22 minutes: A Lazovic corner was headed at goal by Juhasz, with the ball coming off the post from Marko Scepovic, with Stopira reacting to the rebound to find the back of the net. It was the left back's second pre-season goal. (1-0).

A Yanbaev 35th minute right sided cross found its way to Butenkoig, who sent his shot wide of the post from 7 meters. The first half came to an end with a Lazovic free kick, which was headed away by a defender. It was Videoton that went in at the break with a single goal lead. 

The second half kicked off without any changes and Vidi almost doubled the lead within 8 minutes. Fiola sent a high ball in towards Stopira, whose cross from the left was volleyed against the bar by Stefan Scepovic. The action continued with Krasnodar's new signing, Russian international Shatov trying his luck after 57 minutes. A Stopira pass four minutes later ended with Lazovic shooting at goal. 

Kovacsik and Nego collided after 63 minutes and the ball fell to Butenkohoz, who dribbled with the ball until the keeper and eventually Nikolov managed to get back and clear the ball. Kovacsik was again called upon 3 minutes later, when he comfortably collected a cross from Joaozinho. The match was 71 minutes old when a Stefan pass went to Marko Scepovic, and the forward hit a left footed shot from 16 meters that the Russian keeper managed to get down to and save. 

Joaozinho found Vorobyev in the middle after 77 minutes, but Kovacsik was quick to react and deny the young forward at his feet. Vidi had a promising attack with 6 minutes left of the game. Scepovic ran with the ball before playing it left to Varga, who found himself with a good chance on goal, but a defender got back to deny him. Vinicius did well towards the end to intercept a dangerous ball inside the box, which proved to be the final bit of action as the Spanish match official blew for full time. Videoton emerged 1-0 winners over their first division Russian opponents. 

Vidi are next in action on Saturday afternoon with a friendly game against Dinamo Kiev.
