The two managers spoke at the press conference arranged by the Hungarian FA on Friday.
The Hungarian Cup can return to Szekesfehervar for the second time in the event that MOL Vidi FC beat Budapest Honved FC in the final at the Groupama on the 25th May. Manager Marko Nikolic spoke to the press ahead of the big final:
"I do not think that I have to justify just how important this final is. My team tend to perform well in games like these. Our opponents are very dangerous and they have several good players in their squad. There is the top goalscorer Holender but I could pick out others: Danilo, N'Gog, Heffler, Gazdag, Ben-Hatira and so on. They have their own style and hit dangerous counter attacks and also ended the season really well. They have also qualified for Europe. Since I have been manager here, we have beaten them five times and the other match ended in a draw. This does not mean anything as this will be a special match. I hope that we will not ruin this impressive record against them. It is important to mention that we can play our strongest side for the first time this spring. I will not have any injuries or suspensions. The last few weeks have seen us remain in second place in the league without the chance to move up or down. It gave us the luxury to try things out with the team and work out who would be running out onto the pitch for the final. I believe both sides have a 50-50% chance of winning" - commented Marko Nikolic.
"There are no favourites or underdogs in a game like this. What is certain is that we would like to lift the cup, just as Vidi would like to. The season began and also ended in a difficult way for us. This will be a big game in our lives. We will be up against very good opponents who we lost three times to during the season. However, the most recent game ended in interesting circumstances in the 1-0 defeat. I hope that the game will be about us and we will be able to gain something back for those defeats" - commented Attila Supka.
