Gyorgy Mezey looks back on the friendly win over Ujpest

Videoton played their final pre-season friendly on Wednesday, when Ujpest were the visitors to the Sostoi stadium. Ujpest led at the break, but second half goals from Nikolics and Lencse were enough to get the win. Manager Gyorgy Mezey spoke about the match after the final whistle.

	Gyorgy Mezey: "This match with Ujpest was our last friendly match of the pre-season period. Today's match was about improving the individual form of the players, as well as the team play, rather than the result. I was not satisfied from this point of view, with our first half performance. There were mistakes in our positional play, which were as a result of our lack of concentration. The many changes at half time, did not help to get the game flowing too much, but it was good to give those players, the chance to improve on their own form. I was pleased with the friendly with Ujpest from another angle. The match was intense and played at good pace, and there was a real battle in the midfield, against a well organised side. I would point out once again that the result wasn't the most important, but I was pleased that we won the match. We will line up differently for Saturday's league cup match with Paks. That will be a real dress rehearsal for our first league match against Vasas, a week later."
