Vidi took advantage of the international break to play a friendly game on Friday.
On Friday at noon, we played against Budafok from NB II behind closed doors on one of the training pitches at the MOL Arena Sóstó. Manager Imre Szabics went for the starting eleven of Kovácsik - Kojnok, Lüftner, Milán Papp, Hangya - Funsho, Kovács I., Alef, Petryak - Dárdai, Nikolic.
In the 26th minute Palkó Dárdai rolled a free kick over the goal from the right. Two minutes later Nikolic got the ball, played it to Funshó, who centred to Dárdai in the middle and our young striker scored a big goal into the top right corner (1-0).
Eight minutes after taking the lead, Dárdai threatened again, but Oroszi made a great save with his foot. But in the 42nd minute, the visitors' goalkeeper made a mistake, Nikolic got the ball off the Budafok goalkeeper, who then fouled Niko. The penalty was taken by Niko and he made no mistake. The teams went into the break with Vidi enjoying a two-goal lead. At the break, Milan Papp, Funsho, Nikolic, Petryak, Dárdai, István Kovács and Ádám Kovácsik left the pitch and were replaced by Heister, Péter Fodor, Barnabás Horváth, Armin Hodzic, Attila Tóth, Tamás Tóth Vid and Martin Dala.
The second period started with a Vidi chance: a long range by B. Horváth was saved by Oroszi. Two minutes later, Hodzic's shot was saved by the visitors' goalkeeper. In the 52nd minute, Hodzic passed to Péter Fodor, who ran up the right wing and from 14 metres out, he sent a powerful shot over the goal. After another two minutes, Hodzic brought Tamás Tóth Vide into play, but the young striker shot over the goal from 10 metres, and in the 58th minute, Hangya headed the ball wide of the goal. In the 67th minute we saw a big comeback, with Szilveszter Hangya being replaced by Dániel Zsóri, who had been injured during his loan move at Budafok. In the remaining 20 minutes, the teams did not create any more chances and we beat Budafok 2-0.
Next up on 21st November at 17:30 is the away game against Ferencváros.
