Adam Farkas will referee the league cup game with Debrecen

Vidi travel east to Debrecen on Wednesday with a 1-0 lead from the first leg

Adam Farkas will take charge of the second leg match between Debrecen and Videoton on Wednesday. The experienced official was the man in the middle during a match, which Vidi fans will quickly want to forget. That was last season's Hungarian cup semi-final match against MTK, which resulted in a 0-2 second leg home defeat. He also officiated the earlier 2-0 away cup win at Tatabanya, with the goals that day coming from Nikolics and Sandor. Farkas also refereed the league match with Siofok, so he is no stranger to Vidi games.

30 year old Farkas has had a lightning career to date, becoming a member of the second division group of officials in 2007. He then made the step up to the first division, in 2009, making his debut in the MTK - Kaposvar match on the 21st February that year. He has twice picked up the title of best referee in his home country of Heves. His first game involving Vidi was the 4-0 home win over REAC at the Sostoi stadium, in the 2008/2009 season. The 2009/2010 season saw him referee the 1-0 win over Debrecen and 3-0 home win over Vasas.
