We took the lead in the first half with an own goal following a cross, but Soroksár equalized in the second half, so the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the 25th round of the Merkantil Bank Liga NB II, Vidi hosted Soroksár SC in front of 2,119 spectators at the Sóstói Stadium on Saturday afternoon. In addition to our injured players, Donát Zsótér was absent due to a yellow card suspension, so head coach Tamás Pető sent out the following starting lineup: Kemenes – Hesz, Kocsis, Spandler – Kovács K., Somogyi, Murka, Kovács B., Simut – Németh, Bertók.

In the 12th minute, we took the lead from the match’s first major chance: following a corner kick by Bertók, Bence Kovács sent in a cross, and Bagi, under pressure from Somogyi, headed the ball into the right side of his own net (1-0)! Immediately afterward, he threatened with a shot from the other side. In the 15th minute, Krisztián Kovács broke into the box, but the goalkeeper was able to save his shot. In the 28th minute, following a cross from the right, Lovrencsics’s header missed the target, and Vidi’s 1-0 lead held until halftime.
We made two substitutions at halftime, with Bartusz and Virágh coming on for Bertók and Hesz. For a long time, there were no real scoring chances; Soroksár had more possession, but no major opportunities developed in front of either goal. Then, in the 78th minute, following a cross from the right, Lovrencsics rose highest and headed the ball into the left side of our net to equalize (1-1). In the closing minutes, both sides had chances; in the 87th minute, the visitors finally broke through after a shot by Németh, while a minute later, Gólik had a chance on the other end, but our defenders blocked the shot. The score remained unchanged during the three minutes of stoppage time, ending in a 1-1 draw. Our next match is this coming Sunday at 5 p.m. at Szeged’s home arena.
