"I have developed a lot since I have been with Videoton"

Adrian Szekeres hopes to fight his way to become a pillar of the team

"I have really enjoyed the last half year with Videoton. I moved to Szekesfehervar in the summer, and I did not think back then, that we would manage to succeed so well on the international stage. I think it is a massive thing to have battled our way through to the group stages of the Europa league. The fact that we won twice in the group stages, and that we had a real chance of progressing, is a very important factor for the whole of Hungarian football."

"I blended in very quickly at the club, and it was really special to score in my first game for Videoton, even if it was just a friendly match. It was a good feeling when I played on the pitch, or was part of the squad. The year also brought a big change for me, from the point of view that I moved from Budapest to Szekesfehervar. I live in the same housing complex as Gyorgy Sandor in Fehervar, so I have spent a lot of time with him over the last few months. I have also gone out for several meals with Zsolt Haraszti. I really like the town, and I feel good living here."

"Training sessions have been incredibly intensive, and I feel that I have really developed since I moved to Vidi. I hope that I will get the chance from Paulo Sousa in the spring, and that I can take advantage of that chance, as my target is to become a pillar of the team. Now the focus is on resting. I will spend two weeks with my girlfriend in America. We will switch off a little in Miami, and perhaps take a look at a couple of NBA and NFL games. Despite the fact that Miami are not my favourite team in the NBA, I like the Boston Celtic's the best, I am really looking forward to the match. Once I travel home from USA, I will go to Scotland where my girlfriend works, and we will spend Christmas and the New Year together over there. Naturally it will not only be about resting over December. We received a training schedule from the fitness coach, which includes serious work. Lots of running and strengthening are the main features of the schedule." - said a smiling Adrian Szekeres.
