GERGELY NAGY

"We played with more confidence against MTK

Our goalkeeper assessed the 1-1 draw against MTK Budapest.

"I wasn't surprised that they expected me to start today, because we are a little bit tighter now and everyone has to be ready. I'm ready to go as well, as a goalkeeper I can take to the pitch in any situation. Obviously, when I wasn't playing, I tried to give my best in training. I'm the oldest in this dressing room at 30, so I always try to help and encourage everyone. I used to do that off the pitch, and now I've tried to help the team on the pitch. The result is always the most important thing, so the saves I made during the game or how unlucky the goal was in the game are secondary. I don't mind at all if I concede four goals next week but we win 5-4. In this situation, we have to go into the games with a lot of energy and get clear from relegation as soon as possible. Obviously we have a difficult set of games, and the focus will be on results in the next matches. In the end we will see how much today's 1 point is worth. The boys put a lot of work into today's game. I think we played a brave game against MTK. At the end the pitch was a little bit split and both teams ran out of steam, but it's important to value this one point" - said Gergely Nagy after the final whistle.
