Videoton FC closed their 2011 league campaign with a good away win at form side Paks. Paks led through a 40th minute Szatmari goal, before second half efforts from Vinicius, who scored his first goal in Vidi colours, and substitute Nikolics secured the three points for Paulo Sousa's side. Bozovics continued in goal, after making his first league appearance of the season in last weeks 7-0 win over Siofok. There were starts for Andras Gosztonyi and Akos Elek in a five man midfield, with loan forward Andre Alves looking to continue his recent hot form. Vidi went in to the game as the top team in current form, having won five and drawn two of the last seven games. The three points also secured third spot for the red and blues, with just a Hungarian cup match with Haladas left to play this year. Oliveira returned to left back, having played the last few games on the right wing. Videoton also had the luxury of a strong bench, with players like Nikolics, Vasziljevics and Walter to call upon. In the end it was to be Nikolics who would be the hero once again. It has been a very good finish to the autumn season for Vidi.

Csernyánszki was on hand to save well from Alves a minute later as Vidi stepped up the pressure. Elek then had a great shot deflected just wide in the twenty eighth minute. The home keeper was kept busy with chances from Toth, Oliviera and Sandor to deal with. Paks then took the lead against the run of play after the visitors dominated. Szatmari received a clever reverse pass and turned to unleash a good shot across the face of the goal, and into the corner of the net. Alves had a penalty appeal waved away in the forty-third minute by the Chilean referee. That was the last chance of an exciting first half.
