Videoton produced the needed performance to see off Pecs and keep all three points at the Sostoi stadium on Saturday afternoon. Vidi went in to the match on the back of one point from the last two away games, and were looking for nothing short of three points. Paulo Sousa handed out a debut to Oliveira on the right, while Evandro started alongside Alves in the attack. There was a regular look to the back line, with Liptak still missing from the first eleven. The midfield looked strong with Mitrovics, Sandor, Elek and Oliveira starting the match. Pecs went into the game with an impressive start to the new season. They had won four and drawn five of their games so far this season, following promotion last year. However, they could find no answer to the constant attacks from a bright Videoton side in the warm sunshine of Szekesfehervar.

However, Pecs were level on 23 minutes when a Pinter free kick took a deflection off Brachi to give Tujvel no chance. It wasn't exactly what Videoton had expected as they had looked to extend their lead. But they rolled up their sleeves and looked to get back into the lead as quickly as possible.

Vidi took the lead almost straight away when Oliveira showed good work down the right before crossing for Elek to head Vidi ahead. Alves could have made it 3-1 a couple of minutes later, but his effort failed to find the net. Bajzat could have equalised for Pecs a minute later but Tujvel was well placed to save. Alves had one further chance in an entertaining first half. Videoton carried on in the second half where they left off the first. Evandro made the game safe after 69 minutes, scoring with a powerful shot to score his first goal in Hungarian football. Nikolics came on for Alves and wrapped the game up in the 89th minute to make the final score 4-1. So Vidi now have ten points in the table and visit Honved next weekend.
