Videoton's stadium was inspected on Friday by a UEFA delegate, as the Sostoi stadium prepares to host Champions league football.
Videoton will play in the champions league this summer. UEFA sent a stadium delegate from Norway, and he spent close to two hours touring the facilities at the Sostoi stadium, on Friday afternoon. He looked at every part of the stadium, from the offices, VIP, media centre, dressing room area to the pitch itself. This is normal practice for UEFA to make sure that each stadium is ready to host champions league football. The delegate will now prepare his report and send his recommendations shortly.
The Norwegian delegate had a busy day on Friday, having paid visits to both Ferencvaros' Albert stadium, in Budapest, and the Szektoi stadium in Kecskemet. Both Ferencvaros and Kecskemet will be playing in the Europa league this summer.
