Tamas Bognar to referee Wednesday's game with Honved

The spring season continues with an away game in Budapest on Wednesday evening.

Tamas Bognar made his debut in the first division game between Kaposvar and Papa, which ended in a 1-0 result. That was on the 8th April 2006 and the match official has gone on to become a key member of the first division group of referees. He was voted best official for the 2011-2012 season at the Hungarian FA Gala.

The 39 year old has blown the whistle in 171 NBI games. He has produced a total of 751 yellow cards and sent off 51 players in his career. Bognar refereed both the autumn games that ended Vidi - Honved 1-1 and the league decider in May 2017 that Honved won 1-0.

Bognar will be assisted by Istvan Szecsenyi and Georgiou Theodoros for the midweek game. The fourth official will be Gergo Tarsonyi.
