José Gomes: "We battled bravely throughout"

Vidi's manager saw his side give a good performance in the second leg of the semi-final

José Gomes: We arrived in Győr today with the tie at the half way stage of the 180 minutes contest. We wanted to put the home side under continuous pressure, which would help us to produce many chances. We had efforts in the first half, dictated play, but could not score. We did manage to show that we were very desperate to score three goals in the match. We had another striker on the pitch in the second half, but also lost Niko, so we pushed Juhasz further up. We managed to score two goals, and then the sending off came. I did not see the type of movement that needed the referee to send the player off, although I have not yet seen TV footage. Many thought that we would take the game into extra time. However, it did not turn out this way, even though we created many chances. Győr succeeded in scoring right at the end of the game.

Pintér Attila: Today's success is a big thing in the life of the club. I would like to congratulate my team, as several players were given the chance today, that had not played that many games previously. We were disciplined, and remained calm even when the score was 0-2. We made the correct decisions, and many did not want to see Kink out on the pitch towards the end, but it was good that he stayed. I would like to wish Videoton lots of luck as they are a good side. This is why it feels really good to have made it into the cup final.
