Joan Carrillo: "This was the hardest game since I became manager"

The two managers shared their thoughts on the cup match shortly after the final whistle.

Joan Carrillo: "We knew that this would be a very hard game for us. The match started badly, with the home side taking the lead with a nice goal from their first chance. I asked the players at half time to play in the second half, with the right intensity that would result in us winning the game. There can be no excuses, but the artificial pitch did make things hard for us. The lads battled throughout, and fought honestly for the win. This was the hardest match since I became manager."

Vágó Attila: "I would like to congratulate Vidi from the heart, and wish that they win both the cup and the league title. Videoton deserve all the recognition for their performances in the championship. This was the team that I was expecting them to play, and sadly we conceded two goals from set pieces. At the time that the Fehervar side scored their second goal, our player who is strongest in heading was not on the pitch due to an injury. I am pleased that we managed to make things hard for one of the title favourites. I am satisfied with my team, who played with discipline and also aggressively. Vidi did not play better than us in the outfield."
