The two managers spoke to the media following the final whistle.
Joan Carrillo: I am very pleased with the performance of the team today, who played to a high standard. We could also see why Vasas are top of the second division and they also performed well. I was also happy that so many came out to watch the game today, and the backing means a lot to us. The players and supporters are the most important for me, and it is pleasing to see that they have struck up a good relationship. I was never worried about us not winning the game, even when Vasas took the lead. I knew that if the players give 100%, then we would win the game.
Szanyó Károly: I could see positive things from the way my players performed despite the 5-1 scoreline. I would also add at this point that there is a massive difference between the top two divisions, especially as Vidi are by far the best team in the Hungarian top league. I have seen several of their matches, and I am really impressed with the way the Fehervar side have been playing. We are also trying to do the same. We need games like this to see just how much we need to develop both in our thinking and also in the tempo. We played better in the first half, and then several 18-19 year old players came on in the second period. They still need time to get used to this level. We have nothing to be ashamed about as we lost against a very good side. The two line-up's showed the difference between Vidi and Vasas at the moment.
