Vidi are in friendly action against the Polish runners-up

GKS Piast Gliwice are the opponents in Wednesday evening's friendly game in Felcsut.

GKS Piast Gliwice were formed back in 1945 and play their matches in red and blue kit. Their name comes from the Piast dynasty, which was the first ruling dynasty in Poland until 1370. They first participated in the Polish first division in the 2008-09 season. Piast Gliwice then spent a couple of years between 2010-2012 in the second division, where they had played for a total of 32 years until 2008. They were promoted back to the top flight in 2012.

Their best finish in the first division came last season when they ended in second place. There were just two points splitting them from champions Legia Warsaw. Their club have twice played in the Polish cup final, although they lost both finals in 1978 and 1983.
