30th Debrecen v Videoton match on Sunday

The first match between the two clubs took place back on the 8th March 1980. Debrecen, who were then known as DMVSC, was played out in front of 16,000 in Debrecen. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with 'Loki' enjoying the better of the games since then. Videoton's first success was two years later on the 9th October 1982, when a single Majer goal was enough to earn Vidi a 1-0 away win. There then followed a period of twelve years when Videoton returned home empty handed. However, that changed on the 26th November 1994, with a 2-1 away win, thanks to a double strike from Kereszturi. Vidi's last win there was back on the 21st July 2001, when a great goal from Balazs Beko meant maximum points for the red and blues. There have been ten league matches since resulting in two draws and eight defeats.
