New signing Sandor Torghelle spoke about his move to Videoton and the expectations that lie ahead
Sandor Torghelle signed for Videoton FC on Monday, becoming the first arrival this winter. The player who has been capped 42 times for Hungary, travelled out with the other players to the three week training camp in Marbella, Spain. He has been roomed together with Felipe Oliveira, who communicate in English together. Naturally he is also very familiar with other players who he has known for a long time.
"I have known players through the national team for a while now. Gyorgy Sandor, Balazs Toth and Tamas Vasko are regular faces I got to know when we represented Hungary. We have spoken plenty over the last few days, but fortunately I have been able to speak to other players as well. I have been pleased with the way I have blended in since I have arrived, but we have not spent a lot of time on the pitch yet, so we will see whether things will be just as easy for me on the pitch. I have played for several clubs, and naturally I had to get adjust to each club.
I do not think that the short passing game, which Paulo Sousa prefers will cause any problems, as you still need to have a strong forward up front who can work hard and make goals. My role is to be in with a chance of converting chances within the penalty box, and shooting at goal, when the ball arrives to me. This is my style and this is how I can help the team. I would very much like this to work at Videoton, and to score many goals for Vidi. - explained Torghelle.
As Sandor mentioned, he has played for several clubs and worked with many managers. He replied to the following question, of how Paulo Sousa's training sessions are different as follows: "Paulo Sousa as a player always gave 100% on the football pitch. I can see that he is the same out on the training pitch as well. He expects his players to give their maximum during training as well."
