The forward joins from Kaposvar where he scored 11 times over the autumn season
Milan Peric was born in the Yugoslavian city of Čačak, back on the 16th April 1986. His first professional club was with Serbian side FK Mladost Lučani, where he stayed between 2003 and 2006. He made a total of 60 league appearances scoring 31 goals. He then had a short spell with Ukrainian side SC Tavriya Simferopol, playing 12 and scoring 3 goals. He then returned to Serbia and joined FK Hajduk Kula, making 31 appearances with 8 goals in return. The young forward then moved to the most popular Serbian club called FK Partizan. His team mate at the Belgrade side was keeper Mladen Bozovics. Partizan loaned him out to other clubs, which saw Peric play on 4 times for them.
He moved to Hungary in 2010, when he joined Kaposvar. He played 44 times for them and scored 19. An impressive 11 of those goals came in the 2011 autumn season, which saw him in third position in the goalscorers list. Danilo with 14 and Alves with 12 were ahead of him, but both have now moved to clubs outside Hungary, meaning that Videoton have signed the current top goalscorer in Hungary.
"When I moved from Serbia to Hungary in 2010, I thought at the time that I was taking a new step in my career, by joining a better club. I am clear with what Videoton represent in Hungary. They are a good side, not only in the first division but on the international stage as well. I am very pleased to have joined Vidi as it is simple to see that Paulo Sousa's side play the nicest football in Hungary. I would like to win as many trophies as possible with Videoton. My situation is a little similar to that of Nemanja Nikolics. I have made a similar route to what he did by moving from Kaposvar in the winter transfer window to Vidi. The club have a very strong squad, with very good forwards, so I am sure it will be difficult to get into the team. I feel that this will only mean an extra motivation for me, and I will give my very best in each game. My job should prove easier, as it is more simple to score goals when your in a better team. This is especially the case if you look at the games played in the autumn where Vidi had 6-7 chances in each game. As to how many goals I would be satisfied with? I always give my maximum, so I will never be satisfied with my performance. The main thing is that the supporters and management will be happy with my performance. The 9 points that splits the top side with Vidi in third place, can be caught. I am sure that we will do everything in the spring to win the league" - said new signing Milan Perics.
