Videoton emerged 2-0 winners away at Diosgyőr on Wednesday evening, thanks to goals from Torghelle and Nikolics
Sandor Torghelle: "The first match is always very important. Whether it is the league cup, Hungarian cup or even a league game. It gives a realistic picture to the way a team prepared and its strength. We were careful, and we beat a serious side in the process. I am especially pleased that both Niko and myself got onto the scoresheet. We played well today and I am satisfied."
Nemanja Nikolics: "I had to score. We did not want to run over Diosgyőr in the first game. We concentrated on played calmly, and for us not to win with tension. We have given ourselves a good advantage, but we must not think that going through to the next round will be automatic. We will need to be ready and prepared in the second leg, and we will fight enthusiastically, just as we did now. It was a hard job here, but the second leg will also be the same. I can confidently say that no team will find it easy to go home from Diosgyőr with points, as Benczes Miklos' has created a good side. I am also pleased that we managed to win, and even more as I scored a goal."
