Goals from Stefan, Lazovic and Marko Scepovic gave Videoton a 3-1 win over their Chinese opponents.
Videoton wrapped up their second winter training camp in Spain with a game against Chinese first division side Tiencsin Teda on Monday in Marbella. The same 11 players started the game as the most recent one against FK Krasnodar. Marko Nikolic picked: Kovácsik – Nego, Juhász, Fiola, Stopira – Anel Hadzic – Pátkai, Nikolov – Lazovics – Marko Scsepovics, Stefan Scsepovics to face a Tiencsin side that included former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel. Their manager was former German legend Uli Stielike, who also played against Videoton in the 1985 UEFA cup final for Real Madrid.
Keeper Adam Kovacsik was called upon after 9 minutes when Ghana international Acheampong went down the wing and the keeper closed the angle well. The same player dribbled down the wing after 25 minutes before crossing into the middle, with Yang Cao blasting over the bar from distance. Stopira sent a ball forward on 33 minutes that fell to Lazovic. He showed good movement to find Stefan Scepovic, who tried twice from 15 meters, but Jia Du twice denied him with saves. Marko Scepovic played a fine ball to Nego 7 minutes later, with three waiting in the middle for his cross, but the Chinese keeper came out to collect. The same player then provided an assist after 41 minutes, when his right sided cross found his brother Stefan, who found the far corner to score his first goal for Vidi (1-0).
Videoton extended their lead on half time after a fine counter attacking move. Nego brought the ball forward into the opponents half, before playing in Marko Scepovic in the middle, who played it on to Lazovic, and Danko blasted the ball home from inside the box to make it 2-0. The referee blew for half time following that strike.
There were 12 minutes played of the second period when the ball was given away and Acheampong gained hold of it, but Kovacsik was quick to react and come out of his goal well. A Marko Scepovic shot a couple of minutes later was saved by the Chinese keeper. However, another fine move after 61 minutes ended with Marko scoring after being played in by Lazovic (3-0).
Bastians fell to the floor after 77 minutes beside Vinicius and the referee reacted to his assistants call and awarded a penalty. Kovacsik guessed the right way but Acheampong had enough power in the shot to score and make it 3-1.
A Yan shot from almost 30 meters out hit the bar after 83 minutes. However, it was the final action of the match with goals from Stefan, Lazovic and Marko Scepovic making it 3-1 against Tiencsin Teda.
