Videoton did what was expected of them on Friday evening. A good display of attacking football, which came mainly in the second half proved just too much for Zalaegerszeg, who had no answer to Andre Alves and company. The game kicked off in perfect footballing conditions, on a great surface and with the sun shining. ZTE included Sandor Hidvegi in their starting line up, but there was no place for another Vidi player with the on loan Denes Szakaly unavailable. The first chance came after 6 minutes, with Sandor seeing his chance deflected, and it was Evandro who headed goalwards only for to see it cleared off the line. The 10th minute resulted in Alves hitting the bar in what was a big chance for Vidi. Caneira had headed on a Walter corner into the path of the Brazilian, who went inches close.

Walter played the ball into Sandor on the edge of the area, and the midfielder calmy played in Walter, who found the back of the net with the keeper having no chance. Alves found the side netting two minutes later after being set up by Walter. Videoton needed to find the second goal to make the game safe, but went in at half time a goal up. The home crowd would have been pleased with the performance to come in the second period.

Alves released Sandor who slipped the ball beyond the reach of the keeper to make it 2-0 after 51 minutes. Things became even better three minutes later when Evandro beat the full back for pace, before cutting the ball back to Alves, who calmly controlled the ball before smashing it past the keeper to make it 3-0. Balazs Toth showed a cool head in central midfield, with his passes finding his team mates with regularity. The midfield trio of Toth, Sandor and Mitrovics were dominating things. A glorious ball from the right from Walter found its way to Alves, who dropped his shoulder before rounding the keeper to make it 4-0. There was still time for a ZTE consolation with Mate rising to head past Tujvel with two minutes left. The win will give Vidi confidence as they travel to Ferencvaros next weekend for another big game.
