MTK manager Jozsef Garami said in the build up to Tuesday's Hungarian cup, semi-final, second leg tie that his side would not give up the hope, and asked his players to do their thing on the pitch. Well his young MTK side did not disappoint as they overturned a 3-2 first leg defeat to win the second leg 2-0 at the Sostoi stadium, resulting in a 4-3 aggregate win and progression in to the Hungarian cup final to face the winners of the Ujpest - Debrecen semi-final tie. Manager Paulo Sousa fielded a strong starting line up, but as so many times is the case in cup football, surprises happen all the time. Very few both inside the Sostoi stadium, and those watching live on TV would have predicted this result. Videoton had gone in 2-0 down at half time in the first leg at the Hidegkuti stadium, only for the red and blues to hit three second half goals to win 3-2. However, a repeat did not happen second time around, despite MTK once again leading 2-0 at the break. It was to prove a frustrating second half for the Szekesfehervar side.
