Introducing Wednesday's Hungarian cup opponents

Wednesday's cup opponents are officially known as M- Foci Kft. They play their football in the local Csongrad county first division. Mako have a history that dates back to at least 100 years ago. One of the departments at the Mako Athletic Club ran the towns first team and they became Mako Torna Club (gymnastics club) in 1924. Another name changed followed in 1941 with the name of Mako Vasutas sport club (railway team). 

The towns biggest success came in season 2008-2009 when they finished in third place in the NBII. They also had a good run in the Hungarian cup that year. Notable wins included knocking out Bekescsaba and DVTK with Honved eventually going through to knock them out. 

Mako finished in 8th place in the Csongrad county first division last season. They currently sit in second place in the league table as the go in to Wednesday afternoon's cup match. They knocked out third division side Sarvar in the previous round.
