The two head coaches assessed the MOL Fehérvár FC - Mezőkövesd Zsóry FC match

Bartosz Grzelak and Attila Kuttor spoke after the match.

Bartosz Grzelak:

"In the first half, we managed to implement the game plan to a large extent, but of course not all elements were perfect. We managed to control this part of the game and went into the break with a one-goal lead. The second half started terribly. We gave the opponents the goal very easily. We didn't concentrate enough, we had a turnover in midfield and then we didn't get the ball away properly. We looked for ourselves in the continuation, the overall play was slow, nobody took responsibility, everyone passed to the nearest player. We could have won the game with the penalty, but we didn't convert it either, which is a defeat for us. During the week I felt the players working well, there were no problems in the first half of the game, but we didn't react well to the goal against us. It has happened before, when the game doesn't go according to plan, you lose confidence and your legs shake a bit, even though we have a lot of experienced players. We definitely need to work on that."

A journalist asked our head coach what he thought about the fact that, although he and part of the team thanked the fans for their encouragement, the other half of the team headed straight for the dressing room.

"It's a fair question. I saw that not everyone went out to thank the fans for their encouragement. Psychologically, that's probably understandable, because it was a huge disappointment for everyone. I need some time to let it settle down, but we will have a discussion with each player about this situation and how to deal with it appropriately."

Kuttor Attila:

"There were a lot of things that held us back tonight, but we did our job with a will that resulted in a point at the cost of a great fight. Every player fought, but I think that's the minimum and I said that in the dressing room. In the second half, we wanted to put more pressure on the opposition when we were behind, which is why we managed to get the equaliser quite quickly. We had a little bit of a dip, but in the second half the team showed the face we have come to expect from us in the league. Regardless of how the teams stand in the table, we were playing MOL Fehérvár away. We wouldn't have put a point under the score line beforehand, because you always have to see what the game allows, but in hindsight I'm happy with the one point. Every point has great significance at this stage of the season."
