The day before the EL play off, second leg in Belgrade

It was a busy day for the Videoton squad, which flew out to Belgrade. The day included the usual press conference and a final training session.

Marko Nikolic and Roland Juhasz faced the media on Wednesday ahead of the first leg Europa League play off game in Belgrade. The press conference was followed by the team training at the Partizan stadium.

The vidi.hu editorial team visited the final training session, which was held at the training centre of the Belgrade black and white side. Located in a quiet part of the city and a 20 minutes car journey from the stadium. The Partizan session started on one of the grass pitches at 18.00pm with the players jogging out. The first 15 minutes was open to the media. The more serious work only started after the media left. Partizan legend Sasa Ilic, who is 39 years old and capped 72 times for his country recently returned home. Another veteran is 34 year old Vladimir Stojkovic who was also in good spirits.

And then it was back to Videoton. There were around 30 journalists present at the press conference.

"I am pleased that we are in the Europa League play off's, but not as I have earlier said, that we are playing Partizan. However, fate has brought us together and today I am the manager of Videoton. We want to keep our dream going and make it into the group stages. We showed against Bordeaux that we are capable of doing that. The first leg will not decide anything and the tie is over 180 minutes" - commented manager Marko Nikolic.

“We will try to show the same face as we did in the second leg game against Bordeaux in our first leg match with Partizan. I feel that we showed in that game how we need to start a game. Danko Lazovic and Marko Scepovic will both exeprience the match as a special one. However, this can happen in the world of professional football. I am sure that the situation will not influence their performance" - commented Roland Juhasz on Wednesday.
