Joan Carrillo: I haven't got a bad word to say against the team

The two managers gave their reaction following the Hungarian Cup semi-final, second leg.

Joan Carrillo:

"We knew that a difficult match awaited us as nothing had been decided in the first leg. The game started badly for us, because when we were down to ten on the pitch, Mezőkövesd took the lead with some luck and took advantage of a mistake. I think their philosophy was focused on defence and counter attacks, and they solved it very intelligently. They were well balanced in the middle and it was hard to break down their structure. We took a risk during the break, we switched to three defenders at the back, we also had three clear chances, but our opponents took advantage of another mistake from a counter attack to score their second. After that, I thought we scored a goal and I didn't think it was offside, but that can't be an excuse for the result. I do not have a bad word for the team and the players went forward with everything until the last minute. The goals and chances came but everyone was disappointed as we wanted to be there in the final. In these testing times, we wanted to give a cup victory to our fans and the club. Unfortunately, with this result, we no longer can do this. Now all that is left is to analyse the mistakes, reinforce the positives and prepare for the league game against Paks. ”

Tóth Mihály, coach:

“I would like to pay tribute for going through to the final to our head coach and to the Mezőkövesd fans who persevere throughout the year. We rose to the level of Fehérvár, playing two good games after the forced break. Both teams were good, in the end we scored more away goals and deservedly reached the final of the Hungarian Cup. We were also able to play in the cup, the way we do in the league. "
